Inverse Scattering Transform for the Toda Hierarchy
We provide a rigorous treatment of the inverse scattering transform for the entire Toda hierarchy. In addition, we revisit the connection between trace formulas and conserved quantities from the viewpoint of Krein’s spectral shift theory.
متن کاملCompressive inverse scattering: II
Inverse scattering methods capable of compressive imaging are proposed and analyzed. The methods employ randomly and repeatedly (multipleshot) the single-input–single-output (SISO) measurements in which the probe frequencies, the incident, and the sampling directions are related in a precise way and are capable of recovering exactly scatterers of sufficiently low sparsity. For point targets, va...
متن کاملInverse scattering and solitons in An−1 affine Toda field theories II
New single soliton solutions to the affine Toda field theories are constructed, exhibiting previously unobserved topological charges. This goes some of the way in filling the weights of the fundamental representations, but nevertheless holes in the representations remain. We use the group doublecross product form of the inverse scattering method, and restrict ourselves to the rank one solutions.
متن کاملOn lattice isomorphisms of inverse semigroups, II
A lattice isomorphism between inverse semigroups S and T is an isomorphism between their lattices of inverse subsemigroups. When S is aperiodic, it has long been known that a bijection is induced between S and T . Various authors have introduced successively weaker ‘archimedean’ hypotheses under which this bijection is necessarily an isomorphism, naturally inducing the original lattice isomorph...
متن کاملThe Toda Lattice
This motivates the following definition. Definition 1.2. A conserved quantity in a Hamiltonian system is a smooth function f ∈ C∞(M) such that {f,H} = 0. Remark 1.3. If you’re familiar with the Lagrangian model of classical mechanics, you can derive the above setup from a Lagrangian field theory on the real line R, i.e. from classical Lagrangian mechanics. There’s a classical procedure for doin...
